I'm thinking of buying a $250 exercise package from an infomercial. I've been doing one of the exercises and it feels good. It stretches and stegnthens at the same time. I'm really tentative, though, since that's a good chunk of money and fitness things are more often than not a loose for me. However if it is a win, it's worth a lot to me. That's why I'd take the gamble.

Darn I wish I could just fine the love of DDR again.

Anyway, I have no idea what I'll decided, but if you're interested, it's the http://fluidity.com/ system. It appears to have good reviews.

EDIT: I ordered it.

I know what you mean. I never really had that with DDR, but I seem to have mostly lost it for climbing.

How have you been doing one of the exercises without having bought the bar thing? Is there a sample exercise buried somewhere in there somewhere? I'd be interested in seeing it.

I've been grabbing the side of the couch and wishing I had a more firm hold. I also tried a chair, and it was also moving around too much.

The exercise is you stand like this:

but you bend your knee and point your toe at the cieling and then genltly lift a few inches up. It ends up stretching both legs, excersizing the calf of the standing foot and the thigh of the foot you're lifting.

I also put my arms straight which is the more "advanced" way fo doing it.

$250 is relatively cheap for an exercise program, but what really matters is if you think you can stick with it. The #1 way to work out is hire a personal trainer that you have to pay $60/session whether or not you show up -- you'll show up. Unfortunately, any reasonable program will then run you several thousand dollars.

The system you linked to looks perfectly reasonable. You could get the parts more cheaply separately, but it presumably comes with extensive books/videos to get you to go through different exercises in full workout sessions. But the big question is, will you?

Well that's the hard question isn't it? If I could answer that, I would have no problem paying so little.

It looks like a good program. I have nothing to add except to repeat the "but will you keep it up?" question.

Then again, if you don't, you could probably get at least some of your money back by reselling it.
