Christmas shopping attempt 1: complete failure

I think the problem is I know my family already has too much stuff and giving food is mean when you have to watch what you eat. Music is too personal, most movies they either have seen or wouldn't like. I'm at a complete loss what to get my family.

The only thing I got was a consolation prise for myself, which was a GIR blanket. I likely shouldn't have gotten it, but I was feelign pretty frustrated.

That sounds very frustrating.

Something I've realized tis that food isn't the only consumable. For my dad it's socks. For my aunt it's movie tickets. Note cards, office supplies, nice soap, plants, etc.

Good luck!

You could always just get a card, write a meaningful note in it, and give a gift card to {Clothing Store, Amazon, iTunes, ...} for them to get something they like. Or get them a gift certificate for a round of golf, or a fishing trip, or..

Good Luck, and happy holidays!

That side of my family doesn't do gift cirtificates.

The other side almost prefers them, so yes, I'm not worring about the other side.
