Rock band is FREAKIN' AWESOME! If they don't release it for PS2 I might do something drastic... like buy an xbox 360.

I even sang and drummed a few songs (paranoid and creep,) and I was really feeling the bass groove when I switched to that.

I've already decided that I'm going to end up getting a PS3 because of Rock Band.

There's a sort of parallelism there. We got a PS2 in large part because of Guitar Hero.

yeah!! a group of us were playing it at crs's house saturday night, and somehow it got to be midnight and we had just unlocked some awesome new songs, and... the drums are hard! they did a great job with the different instruments, and i like the feel of the new guitar controller (though i'm probably using more force than i should). and it took me several songs to figure out the vocal star power and percussion bits. The only not so great moment was when trying to figure out who was supposed to be signed in as who and how to get the right band characters to be available - this was confusing. We're getting rock band too (sometime in december - as it's sold out everywhere), so drum face-offs will be possible :-)
