Anyone know of a place in the metro-boston area that sells almond butter?

I just saw almond butter next to the peanut butter this week at one of the supermarkets I often shop at (the 24 hour stop & shop in the Watertown/Waltham border). I think they've always stocked it. I don't usually search for it but wouldn't be surprised if a lot of other supermarkets have it - have you had trouble finding it?

I've not actually looked for it yet, but I can't remember ever seeing it and I'm fairly observant, though not perfect.

I bet Whole Foods has it, and probably the Star/Shaws in Porter. I wouldn't be surprised if Trader Joe's had it.

I don't remember where I have actually bought it in the past though.

I know I have seen almond butter at Trader Joe's.

I strongly suspect that Pemberton's on Mass Ave outside Porter (between Porter & Arlington), Harvest Co-Op in Central Square, Whole Foods, and Wild Harvest stock it.

If the Stop & Shop on McGrath stocks it it would probably be in the aisle on the far end of the store that contains the specialty products (like Newman's O's and Morningstar meat patties.)

We don't shop there much anymore, but I know the snooty section in shaws are all slightly different.

I use it instead of peanut butter. I'm supposed to avoid peanuts and soy, for thyroid reasons. And, since child peanut allergies seem to be a trend, it's turning up all over the place now.

Shaws/Star (Wild Harvest Aisle), Harvest Coop, Wild Oats, Trader Joes, Whole Foods...
