sick

I've never been sick like this before. My stomach is upset, my throat is sore, random things ache, but the worst symtom is that my head hurts kind of like if it was all a big sore muscle. It would be like one of those headaches that feels like a belt being tightened around your head, but it's not that limited in area. I do kind of feel like my head is being squeezed all over.

Is there any chance you possibly have picked up an infection while you were being tested for giving blood? Did you notice if they deviated from their usual great care?

One of the finger sticks did get briefly infected, painfully, but a little bit of first aid cream cleared it up.

All I got was two finger sticks and my temperature taken. The sticks and termoeter were both in their packaging (I think) and the pipets really didn't interact with me much and I would assume were sterile.

Where was this infection, on the finger? Do you have a fever? What random parts are sore now?

infection ont eh finger, very very very small. like half a centermeter of duskiness, all gone now.

I'm feeling much better now. I have a mild headache still, but most of the random aches and pains (which were mostly all over in random places) are gone. I still have a mildly sore throat, but really I think I'll be better by tomorrow. The headache, the worst part of it, is bearable enough.

Hm, when I had a nasty infection they seemed quite concerned that there had previously been an open wound that had healed fine. However reading online later I gather that the type of infection they were worried about most commonly happens on knees and large joints and uncommonly on elbows where I had mine, and virtually never on wrists or ankles or smaller joints.

I also had a low grade fever and the whole area around the elbow was red and swollen. So obviously it isn't the same type of deal.

Hopefully you'll feel better after some sleep. Which reminds me. I ought to get me some of that myself.

Are you sure you're not underhydrated? Try some gatorade (or whatever rehydration you prefer; personally I prefer water & a banana or some OJ).
