My day at LZ

So I went to a DDR tournment, with no intention of entering, since it cost $10 to enter. I did cosplay, since they said there was a contest. Well, I won, the same way I win most things in my life: I was the only one to really bother. Two other people dressed up, one was a costume of another, well known NE DDR player. It was pretty amusing. Someone else had a wigless rage costume.

Lost of people complemented me on the costume, but I was feeling pretty silly standing there in my costume. Two people asked to wear my wings, so I let them. That was sort of amusing. I was painfully chy in general, though. I talked to a few people, but really didn't make any new friends. I don't think that I will ever get into the DDR community around here.

I got to play two songs. I let the other person pick. He picked So Deep and Drop Out. I failed them both. So Deep is just not a warm up song at all. I was so out of breath, someone asked me if I was ok. :/

Well I got a free anime DVD (Blue Gender) out of it and had a little bit of fun.

Man, that sucks. When I won the DDR costume contest by being the only one to show up in a real costume (my Alice 5th mix costume at Narrows Beta last year), I got a DDR 3rd mix marquee out of it :)

Is your DZ costume even comfortable to play DDR in?

It's pretty bad anime to boot. Or at least not my thing (very action cinomgraphic focused mech).

Yup, it's perfectly comfortable for me, though the hat makes my head very warm (which wouldn't have been a problem if it hadn't been something really hard like So Deep). I had to take off the wings so I wouldn't poke the other person, but I'm sure I could have played in them.

"I know I've seen your costume before."

"How about on dr4b's cosplay page?"

"yah, that might have been it."
