Admittedly I've only had it for a day, but I really don't see GPRS being $3 a month useful, and I think that's sort of sad. So I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

What do you use GPRS for? Give specifics if possible, like if you use it to send MMSes, why are you sending them (ie, you have a camera phone and... etc.)

I can make my own wap pages now, but even that I can't figure out a enough usefulness to warrent the price.

The great majority of my GPRS data usage is sending pictures from the cameraphone to LiveJournal. It's just neat to be able to do that. Every once in a while, having Mapquest available on my phone comes in handy.

On the other hand, I don't pay an extra $3/mo for my service. At some point I managed to get a plan that included 200 minutes of voice, 300 SMS, and 1MB of GPRS, which is pretty much ideal. So I don't know if I would pay the $3/mo extra or not.

I use GPRS for 3 things:
1) sending MMS, as I have a camera phone
2) web browsing, as I have a smartphone
3) data connectivity (at least, when I had a PC)

If you're not interested in any of those, then don't get GPRS.

Random stuff for amusement value, like looking a topic of debate at dinner up in google, or checking movie times, or things like that. Nothing too heavy-duty.
