There's one minor problem with it. SOme of the games are paddle games and they just don't work well with the joystick.

Yah, I noted that when I was looking at it. I've been dying to play yars revengeagain, which is the main reason I got it, so I'm not going to mind too much that circus atari and pong are going to be annoying to play with the joystick.
