"The Whale" is not ok. Yes, I haven't actually watched it, but there are enough details about it that don't require watching it, I can make that statement. I can understand a fat suit when a character has to make a change quickly, like old age make up. But a fat suit for a whole movie isn't ok. Apparently (sadly I can't find the source) Fraiser said it was “self serving” for fat people to want to play fat characters. The movie is the same old fatphobic, ablist crap that is in most media.
