You'd think after all the foam fabrication I did for the last costume, I'd be faster. But I made a thing and it took WAY too long. Mostly because of scaling issues. I need to figure out better how to take an image of a prop and figure out how to scale it for my person. I also didn't like the photos I took of it on.

I have to take a break from the costume now, because I need to finish a bridge first and I'm traveling soon (which has me nervous with the delta variant.)

Not necessarily. When you're working your way from novice to expert, yes, you gain some speed, but you're also gaining precision and detail, refining your ability to produce exactly what you want rather than a rough estimate. Your cosplay work shows a lot of commitment to accuracy, and that takes time -- sometimes a lot more time than a cruder version would.
