Being offended

Being offended just means you aren't in control of your emotions.
But that isn't true at all for me at least. Because I'm am coming to the defense of those who don't have the context to defend themselves. Growing up, the way we are treated molds our lives. I was convinced that I wasn't capable of things that I now, after this long, realize I am capable of. Growing up, when people are bombarded by negative assumptions, hate, ridicule and isolation, these leave lasting scars. So no, it's not about me and my strength or emotions, it's about making it a better place for everyone. I'm offended that they are attacking the weak.

It's a really toxic habit, and I tend to make mental notes not to trust people who do it with my feelings.
Go you for defending those who need defense.
