Anyone know of a local musical group (orchestra, band, etc.) who might be looking for more players and don't demand the highest quality?

I need more music in my life, but sadly I can't dazzle anyone.

If you're willing to set the bar low enough, you might be able to form a group of local friends of yours. How do you feel about reminding me of fingerings on the flute? I can probably still sight read!

if you're interested in classical music, arlington philharmonic is a very happy welcoming place which almost always needs more string players, and has a wide variety of skill levels. i love the conductor a whole lot, and i'm sad i do'nt have time for it in my life right now.

You play strings, right? My friend who just moved up to Boston is trying to recreate a band with a bunch of strings, which means there may be space for some who play the easier parts and don't need to dazzle.

I don't think I'm a strong enough cellist yet to consider a string part.
