a follow up to this post. Apparently turkey hill natural has nice, simple ingredients and tastes really good. It tastes like I remembers bryers tasting a long time ago. I hadn't realized how much of the taste had been comprimised.

Supposedly there was some food company which wanted to decrease the cost of one of their products but didn't want to hurt the quality. So they held focus groups for each proposed change. Each time the focus group said they couldn't taste the difference between the before and after so they made the change. But when the brought the resulting product out to market it was terrible. Compared to the original the cumulative effect of all those individually imperceptible changes was huge.

Is it as light as Breyer's? It's not that I care about the calories (since the effect is that I eat twice as much), but my favorite thing about Breyer's was how light it was. It's more milk than cream. The easiest way to compare is calories - a half-cup serving of Breyer's is 140 cal and Ben & Jerry's chocolate is 250, or something like that.

Oooh! I just looked it up online and it looks similar, though it does have more cream than milk. But alas, they don't sell it in California.

Where do you get it? (Sorry if this is a stupid question.)
