dark knight and imax

We saw dark knight at the imax theater. I was really impressed with how much effort they went to making the imax experience not just the movie shown really large. They would switch between the full imax screen and normal scope (or close to it, I never relaly learned the multiple aspect ratios) aspect ratio. I think they must have had two cameras for those scenes to get the extra quality, but I'm not certain. Anyway, very interesting. Apparently the next Harry potter will have selected 3d sceens in the imax version.

My seat rumbler wasn't working quite right. It was only rumbling my right side and was kind of... bursty.

alphacygni and I went and saw the IMAX version as well (Reading, yesterday). We were more off-center then we really liked, but it was still stunning. The most recent Harry Potter movie had some 3-D scenes, so they should have the technology really nailed for this next one.
