I'd like a little more income than I currently have (which is 0) but I don't really want a full job. So what's out there? I feels like there aren't really paper routes any more, I can't dog walk or babysit. Is my only option a part time cashier job, or is there something I'm missing?
I can't sell my self as a consulant, so I can't go the "look, I have a college degree" route either. Suggestions?

I'm not claiming that any of these are your sort of things, just that they exist.

- Secret shoppers (not the kinds that make you pay up front, but there are legitimate ones)

- Opening credit card and bank accounts for bonuses. (check out discussions of this sort of thing at fatwallet.com )

- Working as an hourly laborer for one of the employment agencies in the city.

- Working as an office temp.

- Selling things on ebay for other people, or selling things purchased at thrift stores or trash picked on ebay.

I've thought about secret shopper. I even have an in through Mosaic, but I think it would be a diservice because I'm so atypical. That and I don't actually like shopping that much.

Hm.. never heard of number two.

It's looking like temp acgencies might be a good idea.

I've seriously thought about the last thing, but I can't figure out what to sell. I want to sell something that's fairly reisk free and easy to ship (both robust and not overly huge.) I've even thought of going to the thrift stores with my phone so I can look up the ebay sell prices. I just ge the feeling that aorund here there are SO many people the really good deals are snapped up. I've even though that maybe I should investigate how to become a wholesale reseller.

It seems like there's more money (especially around here) in selling other people's stuff on ebay -- lots of people I know have stuff they want to sell on ebay eventually.

If you want to buy stuff to sell on ebay you need one of two things:
- A source other people don't have
- Expertise other people don't have

Thrift stores around here aren't a super source because so many people are using them. But if you found a niche that interested you, you might be able to still find items that were worth reselling.

I should think about selling things for other people. I don't know if I'd be good at it, but I do feel like I should know enough about ebay to do a good job at presenting the auction.

online bonuses & credit card games

There are a number of online bank accounts that will offer you $20-$50 for opening an account. There are also credit cards that offer money from time to time; there's currently an offer for a citibank amex with $100 for using the account.

I'm going even further along that, I find a credit card offer with a no fee 0% interest balance transfer, I transfer all of my regular monthly charges on to it, and I park the money in a high yield savings account. If the thought of that doesn't make you queesy it's not a bad way to make several hundred dollars over a year.
