Phone clue
May. 22nd, 2006 10:28 amWhat can people tell me about problems with buying a UK phone. The frequency differences aren't much. The UK phone is EGSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 where as a US one would be EGSM 850, GSM 1800, GSM 1900. I've never really kept track of which network is which and if this would cause me any troubles at all. I sometimes travel with my phone, but usually in the US. Can anyone help me fill this hole in my knowledge? Are there any other problems with owning a UK phone? (it would be unlocked.)

What are you thinking of getting?
I've been reasonably happy with my combo
of a Nokia 6230 with a Palm T3, but one of these
days I'll probably want to upgrade.
