Ugh, why is politics excepted?

Not only are we on our third automated political recording, but one of them had the gaul to order me to go to the polls. Um... 1) bit bossy, you big bully 2) I'm not allowed to vote.

ooh, we've only had 2.5 today (one I hung up on while it was still in automated silence). I'm tired of answering the phone.

When my Mom called this morning I said with relief "you're not a recording".

An hour later, I got a phone call that said "This is a recording." I hung up.

I then realized that I recognized the voice so I stood next to the phone waiting for my mother to call back. We were both laughing so much we could barely talk. She has no idea what a gullible daughter she raised. (She was sure I would recognize her voice; I told her I expect all of the phone calls today to be recordings so I'm ready to hang up as soon as I pick up the phone.)

why is politics excepted?
Because the politicians write the rules.
