a question about expiring contacts
Sep. 23rd, 2005 10:44 pmSo I have these contacts. They're many years old at this point. I know that they're only supposed ot be good for a year, but I've only worn them maybe a dozen times? So my question is this. Is that year absolute and I should never wear them again or is it dont' wear htem after a year of nearly constant use? I've been changing the cleaning/storing fluid in the case every few months or so.
I fear the answer is toss them. So sad.

If they gave me any discomfort (other than the normal "ack! thing in my eye!" *blink blink* "ah, better now" you get from putting them in), don't use them. But otherwise (especially since you haven't worn them much and you've been changing thier fluid), I think you'll be ok to use them.
But you might want to keep in mind that I took expired birth control for many years because my mommy the doctor said so. :o)
