So my amp went missing in the bowels of UPS. Ups said I had to phone the shipper, musician's friend, so I did and a trace was put on the product. Musician's friend said a ups trace woudl take 8-10 days. UPS phoned me today (I think it was about 5 days after the trace was started) stating that they had eneded the trace and would be phoning musican's friend soon. I waited a little bit and phoned musican's friend ot find out when I could expect the replacement package. They kept repeating back to me that a trace would take 8-10 days and the costomer service repesentative seemed to not take in the information that UPS had told me that the trace was over.

I'm really glad that I didn't need this item any time soon, or I would be furious. As it is, I was willing to find things too frustrating and end the call.

I've had similar bad experiences with UPS, and my solution is to avoid using UPS at all costs. Fedex is so much better at either not losing their packages, or being able to track a missing package (usually in seconds off of the web page). UPS is just a disaster (they lost it for days inside their Watertown facility, and couldn't tell me anything about where it was).

Usually a mail order shipper doesn't let you choose, sadly, or I would avoid UPS.
