I went driving int he snow, and it was kind of fun. I don't get to practice snow driving often and it was nice to have a chance to pove to myself that most of those those SVU drivers are silly! It was a bit annoying that when the pedestrians understandably walked in the road, they seem to have no regard for the fact that that cars where slipping and sliding and could slip sideways at any moment (they were walkin on the wrong side of the road, marching into a traffice and one group waved me into the space they were standing. You want me to run you over?!)

Half the advice I have heard says that pedestrians forced into the road should walk towards oncoming traffic, for improved visibility, and ability to see what's coming. The other half says walk with traffic.

This is only a vague recollection of advice from both pseudo-official sources like advice columns, AAA, or driver's ed, and advice from regular people too.
