[sleep] third day of contractors

I get morning shift, since greg needs the sleep to go a meeting today. Obvious wake up time.

I can already feel the pre-9am neusuea beginning. Whee!

I hope he can sleep through the sawing.

bunch of little stuff. They've power washed the brick, so they could repoint the decaying mortor in the outside of the house. They're renfocing the front porch. Removing the wall in the basment that used to be be around the oil tank, and repairing a wall that was damaged behind it. They're digging us a real sump, taking out some of the wall that has water damage and shoring the remaining wall up. Re-concreting the place where we had the water meter dug out, only this time recessing it, so that the water meter won't be burried, but it also won't grow strange fungus. Um... I think that's it.

Not if we're talking power saws cutting masonry.
(No idea if that's what we're talking about, but that was my wakeup call for a week or so earlier in the summer when they were cutting into the brick facade of the house across the street.)

well, from personal experience - if the sawing is rather constant and not too close to your ear, it's easier. It's not like it calming, it's just easier than hammers is all I'm saying.

This all just means I spent way too much time sleeping onsite when I renovated my sister's house.
