Aug. 1st, 2004 09:36 amI ws started to notice is was August, it snuck up on me. I knew I would, but I still am annoyed that I'm letting the summer slip away from me. Must... swim!
I have a few other goals that I want to publically pronounce so that when I fail them I can feel shamed. Goal by the end of the month: Pass Max300 at home. (way to long over due.) Goal by the end of the year: Do a pull up. One stupid pull up. (I really don't know if I'll make this one, and it frustrates me to no end!!)

Date: 2004-08-02 05:26 am (UTC)Also, proper technique can help a lot. The starting position is generally with the upper arms horizontal; starting from a hanging position is much more difficult. Keeping the shoulders down and the elbows right at the sides (not flared out) will help use the larger muscles instead of only the biceps.
