Mostly I don't expect the movie to be without technical difficulties unless I go to:
- Somerville Theatre or the Capital Theatre (Arlington) where I feel like the projectionists occasionally watch the movie.
- the downtown Loew's or Fenway. Not because they're more classy, just because they're newer and the equipment hasn't had a chance to break yet.
But I've gotten pretty good at complaining, and I use discount tickets out the wazzo, so I suspect that my average Loew's movie costs me $4. Which I'm willing to live with. Yesterday was a new record; we got a full refund (on tickets I had bought with a gift card that I had gotten for 20% off) _and_ free passes. So I paid $15 and got $18.75 plus three free passes back.
I particularly like to take the red "we're sorry your movie sucked" tickets and then use them at the more expensive Boston Common theater.
