email and spam

At this point, even with flitering, my email so close to being 100% spam that I'm being really lax about reading it, so if I don't respond to a peice of email, it might have been that I deleted it carelessly and you should try again. Using a reconizable name and a godd subject line will help.

my email gets double filtered - it is filtered by both alumni services and by my ISP. and for a while I was also using mailwasher to do a third level of filtering. I should reinstall mailwasher. mailwasher is good. and it's free.

use spam assassin? I've got down to about a half dozen or less a day that gets past the filter.. and I've only ever had one false hit for someone I actually wanted to hear from..
