Last night I was playing with those flashy things that you can now buy with the suface mount super bright LEDs, a dark room and my cat. I got some intersting photos from it.

I think that I want to render one of these in another form. I don't think I want to do oil, because it will come out very much like the last painting I did. I think I want to use some other medium, something maybe off the wall, like feathers or wire.

Any suggestions?

I didn't know you painted! whee!

you can get fishing line that is a faint blue colour (so it's mostly invisible to fish) Neat thing is, it glows with a blacklight. Might wanna play around with that.

I worry it might not be adhesive happy. I could sew it to the surface though. might add another interesting aspect to it. Hm...

I told you that I did art.

I remember now that you told me. I just got back from my road-trip (which means I did alot of drinking last night so my brains not up to speed yet)

you could put pins (tacks, nails, etc.) in a piece of wood & weave the line around them. just an idea. Also might work as a large piece of installation wall-art.

They have some neat acrylics from Golden that
have textures and irridescense. Some of them
are even sculptable. I bet you could
do something neat with them and the third picture.
The place across the street from Pearl has a good
collection of them along with some sample squares.

pretty French cherry!

Because of a piece of lint on my screen, I originally read "iridescense" as "iridescerise"...

I know photography is not what you meant by another form, but I think it might be interesting to try some long-exposure kinetic photos or movies where you are "painting" the cat, other objects, or a scene with the light.
