Last nights lesson 1: add the current time to the time of the movie and see if the T will still be running when you get out BEFORE buying tickets. And hour really does make a difference.
Lesson 2: movies that sell out, might unsell out.

Date: 2003-12-30 09:39 am (UTC)Then we dithered for a while and decided to wait until the 9:30 show on the big screen. Only after buying tickets did I realize that it was a 3.5-hour movie, which would cause us to miss the T. "No problem," we thought, "we'll just take the night owl." After the movie, we confirmed that the T had stopped running and then remembered that the night owl only runs on weekend nights. Oops. So we took a cab home.
The other side note is that at 8:40, the machine was willing to sell me tickets for the 8:30 show. But we decided the chances of being able to sit with Bean and Nick were infinitesimal, we'd get crappy seats, and we might miss the first part of the movie. (There were well over ten minutes of trailers, but I only know that in hindsight.)
