Elph woes

My digital camera has started to flake on it's mode switch, randomly switching between photo and movie mode.

Does anyone know if there is an easy fix to this?

Alternately, does anyone have any recommendations for a small digital camera that doesn't have the color blanace/flash issues that the digital elph has (or news that it's improved over the years)? I'm looking for very cheap. ~$150.

Couch sold!

Couch and love seat are sold and removed from the house! yay! $160 for the pair, which is likely less than I could have gotten, but it's nice to have it done with and the guy was happy to do the tricky, heavy lifting and rent a truck.
