I just need to rant: women's clothing

So I decided that I needed a woman's business blouse. I thought "ok, I nice fitted blouse, in some non-pastel color, that shouldn't be too hard." It's all stripes with 4-5 horrible colors with 3/4 sleeves and if you are lucky enough to get a solid, it's some weird color that they've somehow turned into something SO ugly, like puke-tinged plum. So in desperation I went over the men's sections. Lovely solids, included a gorgeous charcol. $6! $6! Do you know if you buy sweatpants in the womens secion and the mends section they will be exactly the same, escept that the women's sweat pants will be twice as expensive? The problem is I didn't know what my size was in mens. I bought the mens, expecting to dart them to be a little more fitted, but I got the wrong size.

That's my rant.

Saturn!? WHY!? My non-hybrid, bigger engine SW2 gets 35mpg highway (that's the offical dealer number.)

Why do companies who fill a great niche decide to go compete for the big slice of the pie that already has huge number of competetors and destroy everything that was ever good about the company?
