New silly game
Mar. 11th, 2003 05:10 pmI bought mad mestro because it was $12 at target. It's a conducting simulation game where you ahve these four points on the screen which are the baton points (they go around in a circle rather than up, down, left, right, but hey, it's a simulation game, they never get things perfect.) You have to keep tempo by following these does. The space between them shows the tempo changes. Simple enough, right? well now you have to press the buttons with the correct harness (soft, mdium or hard) and occationally, th game will throw "section" arrows in, where you have to press the direction pad while pressing the button at the correct tempo with the correct hardness. This indicates that you are conductin to a section of music.
The story sucks, but that's ok, these games could have no story for all I care, but it is kind of amusing.

taiko and voice
Mar. 11th, 2003 06:42 pmThe Cambridge Center for Adult Education is having one session beginner's Taiko drumming course; it sounds like it will be intense. Three hours starting with pushups and situps. They still have openeings, I think, if you are interested.
I signed up for that and beginner's voice, but that's wait listed, so I might not get in.
