All the color came off the letters of the new DDR shirt that I painted a while back despite me giving it weeks to dry. I will have to find different fabric paint that sticks to the white that I painted on under the colors (the white stayed.)

Suck. That reminds me of a time that I did this great collage and then tried to put a thin layer of paint over it, which trashed the whole thing. Instant horrid pain in gut.

That's most unfortunate.

hmm. I wonder if you could paint the colors on first, then paint white over the whole thing. The white would (theoretically) wash away when it's painted over another color, leaving the white as a background.

Mind you, I haven't tried any of this. It might not be any better.

The white was painted under the letters so the red would show up on the red of the shirt. See picture below:

Now the shirt has that, but in white... well... in peeling colors..

ah, that's not what I had in my head. it's a pity it didn't work out; it's a way cool effect. The red letters really do stand out well.

I could give you more random theories on how to maybe make it work, but I think I'll stop while I'm behind.

I just need to buy different paint, since the blue, which is different, didn't wash off.
