First tick of the season, no clue how I got it. It must have dropped on me from a tree. It was in my hair. Knowing what a tick feels like without seeing it, is not a skill I wanted to have.

Oh yuck!! Too damn early for ticks but they're out for sure.

Was it attached or just loose in your hair?

Double ugh! If you saved the tick you can send it to UMass to be tested for diseases. https://www.tickreport.com

And keep an eye on your own symptoms - if you start to feel weird, please get antibiotics right away.

Ugh and sympathies. I'm hoping for enough more cold weather this winter to kill a generous share of them, or it's going to be a bad summer. :(

The shorter winters are also letting ticks kill off moose by basically draining their blood. https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2017/01/13/winter-ticks-exact-heavy-toll-new-england-moose/PmpQ3QAHm9C1imAxkzMhDM/story.html
