T-mobile is now offically supporting and selling my phone.

Rio looks like it's goign to be another year for it comes out with a 40gig player.

I'm annoyed that we live in a society where women not shaving their legs is some how unhygenic. I don't mind it not being the fashion, but I don't like to have to worry that someone thinks I'm unclean because I'm female and don't shave my legs.

Unhy... huh? I don't think I've heard that one yet. (I have, however, certainly heard other things on the topic!) Sigh.

mrow? I've never had anyone accuse me of uncleanliness because of it. I've had more people complain about the underarm hair than the legs. They say it makes me sweat more. I say that if I shave it I get a nasty rash and usually they shut up.

I've heard that rationale for pits but never legs. Pop culture sucks big sharp rocks through a bendy straw. I spent a long time not shaving anything, and didn't go back to shaving b/c anyone said to, I just personally like it. *looks down at legs* and right now I'm sporting 10-day stubble. Ach. the movies can stuff it.

The armpit thing is really bogus, too. Even if Americans could (or would--Byly is available in the US) buy a deodorant that actually worked, it would still not be a non-issue. It is the pit mouse that is the target of the objection, not the hygiene. Doctors assume that a woman who does not shave must be ill because it is, to them, a sign of self-neglect and they assume that because she isn't taking care of her personal appearance, it is a valid diagnostic observation leading to a diagnosis (DSM IV) of depression, dementia, substance abuse, or schizophrenia.
I actually had the experience of seeing a doctor recoil at the sight of armpit hair.

It's really a craziness, though, because women are supposed to look--bodyhairwise--sexually immature, but then that distortion is combined with the overt sexuality of the disturbed gait from high heels and the face painting.

There is something wrong with a society that deems half its population defective because hair grows in their armpits, and the other half defective because it grows on their faces.

Aha--a conspiracy. The Ew Factor is all a plot to sell more razor blades and shaving goop. It is likely associated with the rinse-and-repeat myth.
Segue to . . .
Where is there a shampoo that doesn't have laurel in it? What does one do if one is allergic to laurel? And where is all that laurel being grown?
