Jet lag?

So this morning I woke up a little earlier (9ish) than I liked so I went back to bed, then slept until 2 waking up occationally and being unable to get out of bed. It was hard to drag myself out at 2 and I feel I probably could have slept most of the day away.

I've never had jet lag and don't know much about it, but I didn't think this is how it worked. Is this jet lag or one of those illnesses that doesn't give you any other symtoms than Sleep now?

When I came home from Japan I slept for about 8 hours, then my mom woke me up (damn her!). I then stayed awake for about 30 hours and then slept for about 20. I felt a bit better after that.

Sounds to me like you have jet lag. Everyone manifests its affects differently.

If you're waking up and feeling like "Hmm, this isn't the right time of the day to be awake", it's jet lag. Possibly combined with general tiredness like coming down off a "WOW JAPAN" high. I get both of those...

Jet Lag usually takes me about 2-3 days to get around. So don't worry unless you're still messed up in a week, I think.

Sounds like jet lag to me or just the effects of the long travel days -- when I've flown to/from Asia, the travel days have wound up being about 36 hours long.
