This saturday at Springstep, there is a taiko show you might want to see. I'm not performing, but I'm really excited to see it. It's Mark's first show as the artistic director where he's really stretched his concept for the concert. He's taken old peices and made them different, both visually and conceptionally. There are new pieces, including a steel drum peice, that I got to hear just a little of and loved. They have a violinist, a floutist and a dancer as guest artists. I'm completely jealous of the floutist being miles better than me. It's actually been a long time sine I've been excited to see a ONE show, since I know the songs so well, but I think Mark and the ensemble members have put a lot of work and orginality into this, right down to the chair arrangement and the atmosphere of people entering the building.
