stretching leather pants

So I bought these leather pants for $16.50 from ebay, and well, they're just a little too small for me, which is not quite what I was hoping for, but it's the right direction because I want form fitting, body hugging leather pants. So here's my question: Is there a proper way to stretch out leather pants? Should I just wear them and push their limits by a little, or do I treat them with something or get an artifical stretcher or anything like that?

The product is Shoe Stretch, which smells like isopropal alcohol.
At risk of it not being water friendly, the alternative is to put it in a bathtub of water, soak it gently, put it on wet, and let it dry.

I've heard of these techniques as well. Another method, I'm told, is to use steam while stretching. Apparently, all of these take a while, but I have no real experience with any of them. You might ask at a leather store or cleaners.

My impression is that it is important to stretch the material evenly; this is easy for shoes (using a shoe tree), but might be more difficult for pants. Bink's idea of wearing the pants while stretching might help.

Is this userpic of the pants? You look good in them from what I can see.

It is. They are almost fitting properly now, so it might just be I need the wear them for an hour or something. They still don't quite come up far enough on my leg and the button is fairly strained.

I like the new picture.
