I'm vaguely dismayed that people are using the free crush counter. It feels like you're encouraging this slimeball. He's also shown to be exploitve, for all we know he's collecting further data (including things like IP addresses or whatever) on people asking about their crushes.

However, every time the free thing is used, it potentially costs him money. So maybe I shouldn't complain.

And for anyone who was curious, I don't have any secret crushes. I can't remember if I actually filled this out or not, but there wasn't any new information in it if I did.

EDIT: the page asks for your gender. He doesn't need your gender to give you the numbers or the list. He's collecting lj->gender mappings. I wonder to what end.

Yeah. It's dumb, and it certainly rubs me the wrong way. I'm seriously considering just telling all my secret crushes that I have a crush on them and totally subverting the orginal intent of this stupid guy's business plan.

Heh. I'm waiting for the Court TV case about the family suing the quiz sellers after a psycho husband buys his wife's crush results, goes berserk, and tries to kill off his "rivals" with a paintball gun.

That's not a hugely bad idea to just tell them.
That would also give a chance to provide clarification
to those people as much of the time it just meant
"this person is cool" or "this person is very attractive". Hm.

I'm vaguely curious about my two secret crushes and three ex-crushes...But not enough to pay this jackass four dollars.

For what it's worth, his script now thinks that I'm female. That's the default, and I doubt most people bothered to change it.
