These prices are insane!!

The house across from us, with the same floor plan was completely renovated and sold two years ago for $420k. Today they had an open house, trying to sell it again, and they are asking $599k.

Wow.

Yup. I thank my luck often. It wasn't just when, but that the seller was desperate and that they were trying to sell it as a two family and I had money for the down payment because some great uncle I didn't know left me money and greg had the money because he'd been out of work for a while and our housing broker, dope that he was, showed us the outside of the house and told us we didn't want it I took a shine to it. And we actually pursuded it and actually put down an offer we thought would be laughed at and...

so many stars aligned for us to get this house.
