I still feel that I'm SO bad that coaching wouldn't help. Just like I can't work on my pull ups because I can't even do a negative and all the coaching help just assumes that once you can do scap pull ups, you can do negatives. Most coaches don't know what to do with someone who struggles with step -1.
It doesn't help that 1) I'm on a deadline 2) 3x30 minutes a week is already more running than I WANT to be doing 3) all the emotional stress running causes
If it was something I wanted to be doing because I loved it and it was going to be a life long passion, then I think your advice makes a lot of sense.
