I've done curbside pickup at two different local grocery stores, and had different experiences. Both of them give me a place to comment on each item, which can help with appropriate substitutions. One store let me review the subs after picking but before pickup and accept/reject them, which is great, except for the time I relied on getting the review note and didn't, and got subs I didn't like.
