non-dairy Coyote
I made some non-dairy Chocolate Coyote ice cream (chocolate, cinnamon, hint of cayenne) and it is by far the best non-dairy-trying-to-be-dairy thing I've eaten. It has an avocado, coconut milk base and the cinnamon does an excellent job of masking both flavors.
It might be time for me to invest in a real blender.

Does sorbet hit the spot, or are you craving the creamy texture? Is the no-dairy allergy or dietary?
Don't go overboard on the blender; we have a cheap highly rated one from Amazon (similar to this http://www.amazon.com/Oster-BPCT02-BA0-000-2-Speed-Beehive-Stainless/dp/B003ZDNIJY/) and it completely meets our needs. I don't understand why a blender (or dishwasher, etc.) needs 10 settings.
OTOH, you may want to consider a stick blender. I found that most of them are cheaply made and break, and it's worth spending a bit more. After going through three we finally found this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RF7QJW

It's a newly discovered sensitivity, so I wouldn't call it a allergy, but an intolerance. Not sure what in milk does it, but lacaid has not been successful. I still have to test more. I only figured it out this month.
I've had a stick blender in the past. I know it's uses, but that's not what I need right now. I have the dinkiest blender you have ever seen. The magic bullet could beat it up.
