I've been using an OEM (not purchased from T-Mobile) SonyEricsson P800 for the past several months, and before that an OEM Ericsson T68m, and have been lucky enough to have had no problems. I don't think eichin and co. have had troubles with their S55s either, however problems like the annoying one Erik has run into are possible...
Erik, how did you find out that this was due to changes to have roaming with Cingular? A bunch of people noticed that the network name on their phone changed, and I've been noticing more dropped calls, but I didn't see any information due to the cause other than your post.
Oh, I agree with cat about her current phone. I would never *ever* buy a phone from Motorola again. They're great at the radio stages, but I can't understand why they can't hire a single damn UI designer...
