I should remember that when things get cancelled to try to think if there was any conflicting thing that I wanted to go to that I couldn't and now could have. Oops.
I was upstairs in the kitchen, making strawberries with ice cream and I heard scrabbling squirrel noises. I couldn't tell if they were inside or outside, so I decided to open the blind and see if I could see what was making the noise. There dangling on the edge of the roof was a pair of squirrels staring straight at me. I think that they know who to blame for their house being gone. One of them started to knock down icicles. I went to tell greg, and by the time I got back they were gone.
Someone else's post made me realize that the reason that things seem quiter when it's snowed isn't just the cold scaring the animals away, but that snow is accusitcally absorbant, where as concrete isn't. It acutally IS quieter.
